Questions parents ask about ADHD-friendly learning
Plain answers about how Sunova Sensa supports attention, focus, and calm learning, for ages 5 to 85.
What makes a learning app ADHD-friendly?
An ADHD-friendly learning app works with attention that shifts instead of fighting it. That means short untimed sessions, no countdown clocks or loud alerts, a visually quiet screen, and the freedom to stop at any point without losing progress. Sunova Sensa applies all four by default.
Is Sunova Sensa good for a child with ADHD?
Yes. Sunova Sensa is a sensory-first learning platform designed for neurodivergent learners, including children with ADHD. Lessons are bite-sized and untimed, every task works by tapping, typing, or speaking, and the app gently suggests a pause, snack, or stretch when focus starts to fade.
How long are the lessons?
Lessons are bite-sized and untimed, and each learner chooses their own session length, from just a few minutes upward. Stopping partway through is normal here, and answered questions always count toward progress.
Does Sunova Sensa use timers, countdowns, or punishing streaks?
No. There are no countdown timers, no autoplay, no loud alerts, and no red X marks. A missed day never deletes completed lessons or saved progress, so learners can come back after a break without losing ground.
Can my child use it without reading everything on screen?
Yes. Every interaction in Sunova Sensa works three ways: tap, type, or speak, and text-to-speech can read words aloud. Fonts (including OpenDyslexic), text size, letter and word spacing, contrast, motion, and sound are all adjustable per learner.
What ages is Sunova Sensa for?
Sunova Sensa is built for ages 5 to 85, with separate child, teen, adult, and supporter tracks. A five-year-old's first phonics and an adult rebuilding reading or memory skills use the same calm structure at different levels.
Can parents and teachers see progress?
Yes. Progress is tracked across four strands: reading, numbers, writing, and focus, and it can be exported as a CSV at any time. Inteluma plans add PDF progress reports you can bring to an IEP meeting, a therapy session, or a school conference.
Can more than one child use one subscription?
Yes. The Inteluma Family plan covers up to 7 profiles for $99 a year. Each learner keeps their own comfort settings, learning path, and progress, so siblings are never compared to one another.
Does Sunova Sensa replace therapy, medication, or tutoring?
No. Sunova Sensa is a learning support tool, not a medical device, diagnosis, or treatment for ADHD. It is designed to sit alongside school supports, therapy, or a care plan, and it does not replace professional advice.
How much does Sunova Sensa cost?
Sunova Sensa is free to start. The free Gentle Start plan includes every comfort and accessibility setting plus one lesson per strand each day, with no card required. Inteluma plans start at $14.99 a month or $80.99 a year, and a 14-day trial with no card is available.
Is Sunova Sensa ad-free and private?
Yes. Sunova Sensa has no ads and never sells learner data. Only essential session cookies are used, with no advertising or tracking cookies, and personal data is not shared with third parties except as required by law.
